blessings

today was:

storm clouds and sunshine

a slow easy run in the grass along the shore

chasing Rave and his stuffed pink hippo through every room of the house while laughing like a lunatic

a mug of lemongrass tea and the writing of Irish poet and philosopher, John O'Donohue

gratitude for rich friendships, old and new

beginning a delightful e-course entitled The Art of Living Cheerfully by the ever enchanting Madelyn Mulvaney (ooh, it's good!)

discovering two treasured cards and a package in my mailbox

lunch delivered by my favorite vegan cafe

followed by the florist dropping off these cheery orange beauties

a winsome beginning to a birthday week

May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder.

Sounds like a beautiful day. I especially loved the image from the line, chasing Rave and his stuffed pink hippo through every room of the house while laughing like a lunatic. It reminded me to enjoy and appreciate all the silly and spectacular moments I have with my 4 year old niece and nephew. We take lunacy to a whole new level during our playtime together. I hope the blessings keep flowing during your birthday week. Take care and Be well.

Erica - Thank you and oh, how fun to have a young niece and nephew to play and laugh with. I have two young great-nieces but they live so far away. Being an auntie is wonderful, isn't it?

Martha - Thank you! I am on the cusp of pisces/aries but always felt more pisces like.

Tracie - I think you would love it!

Amy - Right back at you! xoxo

How exciting that you are taking this class and what a perfect gift to give yourself. I cannot wait to see what beauty blooms from this!! Your comment about chasing Rave made me smile and again think about the Art of Racing inThe Rain. Such a great book.

I am laughing at the Rave + stuffed pink hippo chase. Because I love the image. And because Atlas had a stuffed pink pig. It was the squeakiest thing ever and it drove me crazy, so I gave it to someone whose stuffed animal wanted a pig. When I gave it to her, she said, "Oh! A hippo!" It was not a pig. It was a hippo. I still don't know how I didn't see that. It was totally a hippo. The only thing pig-like about it was its pink color. Still laughing.

What a beautiful beginning to your birthday week. I hope the rest of it was filled with wonder and delight too.

Birthday wishes of love and joy from puppy and me.

Stephanie~ thank you so much for sharing those lines from The Art of Racing in the Rain.

Michelle~ thank you and big hugs to you. :)

Elizabeth~ I got a huge kick out of this because every time I see Rave's hippo I think, pig, but I cannot understand why.
